About The Competition

Restaurant Managers all over the UK are invited to compete in this prestigious competition to become the UK Restaurant Manager of the Year.

The competition has been run by the Academy of Food & Wine Service for seven years and aims to acknowledge and reward the best in the industry – whether small individual boutique establishments, popular fine-dining sites or those part of a larger food and beverage operation.

Anyone who fulfils the role of a Restaurant Manager is welcome to enter. Your job title doesn’t have to be “Restaurant Manager” but you should be undertaking the typical work and activities associated with the role: responsibility for the business performance and coordinating the entire operation of the restaurant.

How does the competition work?

First Round

The first round questions must be answered on the Entry Form or online by 14th October 2016. The answers will be judged by the panel of judges made-up from representatives of the Academy of Food & Wine Service, sponsors and industry experts.
